PFD Highlights Dr. Daniel Rastein’s Invitation to Participate in FDA Patient-Focused Drug Development Meeting on Nonhealing Chronic Wounds

PFD Capital Partners announced that Dr. Daniel Rastein, Founder and CEO of CassdermaRx, has been invited to participate in the FDA’s upcoming Patient-Focused Drug Development public meeting on nonhealing chronic wounds. The meeting is intended to gather patient and caregiver perspectives on the real-world burden of chronic wounds, current treatment challenges, meaningful outcomes, and clinical trial considerations.

CassdermaRx is developing investigational wound care technology for difficult-to-heal wounds and is part of PFD’s broader medical technology investment strategy through PFDSMRH3002, LLC. PFD highlighted Dr. Rastein’s invitation as an opportunity for CassdermaRx to engage in an important national discussion around patient-centered wound care development.

The release emphasizes that the FDA meeting does not represent regulatory approval, clinical success, commercial viability, or investment performance. Instead, it reflects the growing importance of patient experience, meaningful clinical endpoints, treatment burden, and practical trial design in the development of future wound care therapies.
