On October 30, 2025, PFD Portfolio Manager Richard McGill had the opportunity to present at the San Francisco Brokers Club, a group founded seven years ago by investment consultant Stephen Lawrence. The Club was created as a space where accredited investors, institutional financiers, and experienced broker-dealers can connect, share ideas, and discover opportunities that match their high-level investment interests.
Beyond regular networking, the Club also helps its members build relationships with emerging startups before they hit the broader market. A few times each year, members are invited to intimate lunch or dinner events at some of San Francisco’s best restaurants, where they hear from guest speakers on new opportunities and market insights.
For this year’s fall luncheon, Richard was specially invited as the keynote presenter. The event was held at Chotto Matte in Union Square — a rooftop restaurant known for its Peruvian-Japanese fusion menu and incredible views. It was a beautiful setting, and the food definitely lived up to the hype.
Richard spoke to a group of about twenty-five investors and high-end broker-dealers, sharing an in-depth look at PFD’s 1000 Series SPE. This program offers a 15% preferred fixed return over 60 months, backed by secured personal injury medical receivable collateral. The 1000 Series is one of PFD’s core offerings and is now preparing to launch its 14th SPE. To date, the program has deployed more than $300 million, backed by $1.77 billion in secured collateral, and supports over 100 medical providers across 14 states.
Even though the presentation took place right after lunch, the group remained fully engaged. Not a single person left early, and the conversation continued with a lively Q&A that stretched nearly half an hour past the scheduled time.
